2016: i did a lot of stuff with lighting! and that's been a pretty good time, though I don't feel like I've improved that much within the past year, I FEEL SO OLD oh my god

I've started working with painting on and off, and I've been enjoying that - i've also been doing some value studies here and there, which does help! Drawing's started to feel a little more comfortable than before, which makes it a bit more enjoyable, even if I don't have much time to draw. I think my attitude to drawing's changed to something a little more apathetic, which does help to make it feel a little less difficult.

2015: I usually just update the same deviation over and over again for this yearly meme, but I decided to change the template and do a tiny rehaul on my captions, so forgive me for the extra submission!

I started focusing a little more on compositions this year - my lines are still globby, but I've started drawing in larger resolutions so hopefully nobody's going to notice-

I feel sort of on and off about this year- I think it's nice that I've started to work with lighting and find it pretty fun, but I don't really feel like I've improved since last year. Plus, considering that I've been drawing for a rather long time now, it all feels sort of lackluster. But this aside (and me being old aside), I'll just take some baby steps if I decide to continue drawing. Little by little is fine by me!

2014: the same excuse as last year it seems
Not many finished pieces this year! My lines have been pretty globby/less mindful since truthfully I lack the patience to lineart like I used to (plus I've gotten into the habit of drawing in higher resolution). Hopefully I can change that when the time comes.

I drew a lot of Aelia! (Too much aelia...............) and think I probably have to do something about that.

Not a lot of improvement this year again

..... hopefully it'll get there.

2013: unfortunately no time to do anything ever (but really this is just my excuse for a lack of improvement)

2012: this year makes me want to cry

Came across this by chance. Seeing how you've progressed over the years it really gives me the inspiration to keep drawing and know that someday I'll be as good as you as long as I keep trying!
